Plane makes emergency landing on a South Florida highway

A plane landed on a state highway Saturday afternoon after having mechanical issues, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

A single-engine Cessna made a safe landing in the eastbound landing of Alligator Alley MM30 in Broward, officials said. Two people were on board and were not injured.

The roadway was briefly closed but has now reopened.
