It can be really inspiring to listen to different styles of music played by professional accordion players. So whether you are beginning to learn how to play accordion, or have already mastered the basic techniques and are ready to experiment with different styles, make it a habit to regularly seek out accordion music to listen to.
You could, of course, go to a music shop or an online store such as Amazon, and buy up a huge collection of CDs, but for most of us this is impractical and probably far too expensive.
Instead go hunting online! Search YouTube and be entertained by some of the many videos on there. Look for other accordion sites that have samples of music. Or listen to Accordion Radio, which is an online radio station that plays accordion music all day and night.
When you have listened to some of these free sources of accordion playing, you might decide on a style or accordionist that you particularly like. Then you will be better informed and can buy just one or two CD’s that you know you will enjoy and be inspired by.
